Our History

The Organization has been in existence since 1993 popularly known as United Christians’ Revival (UCR) and formally registered as a Christian NGO in 2012 as Jesus Ark Ministries (JAM). To erase the notion that the organization is not a Church, we have changed its name from Jesus Ark Ministries to Jesus Ark Foundation, effective from January 10, 2017, in order not to go against the prophetic vision that the work is not a church. In 1989, when Noah G. Kumi visited his brothers at Safwi Sunkwa in the Western Region of Ghana, during a seven-day fast, the Holy Spirit spoke clearly to Noah under a cocoa tree. Minutes later, his senior brother, Moses Twene Gyamfi, who did not hear the message Noah received, prophetically confirmed the same message. The message was: “I have called you in this end time. You are the elder brother and your brother is the younger. If you will avail yourself, I will beat you like a drum for all over the world to hear about me through you. First, I will prepare you and you will start this work at Dormaa Aboabo. It is not a church, but I will send my children to work with you. And I will send you to many leaders all over the world.”

In 1989 when Noah G. Kumi visited his brothers at Safwi Sunkwa in the Western Region of Ghana, during a seven day fast, the Holy Spirit spoke clearly to Noah under a cocoa tree.  And after few minutes his senior brother, Moses Twene Gyamfi, who did not hear the message to Noah, prophetically confirmed the same message Noah heard from the Holy Spirit. The message was “I have called you in this end time you are the elder brother and your brother is the younger. And if you will avail yourself, I will beat you like a drum for all over the world to hear about me through you. First, I will prepare you and you will start this work at Dormaa Aboabo. It is not a church but I will send my children to work with you. And I will send you to many leaders all over the world.”

The Lord confirmed this vision with instant healing and miracles. The first Christian the Lord brought to this vision is Mad. Mercy Pomaa, who was assigned the prayer ministry. She dedicated herself to prayer and fasting, spending seven years in a room for the upliftment of this unknown ministry. Another faithful member is Mr. P. Ofosu-Gyamfi, who has remained a pillar in the organization. He is currently the Director responsible for administration (Secretary) and also the Manager for CHE-STTA, the economic arm of the NGO. Elizabeth Kumi, daughter of Mad. Mercy Pomaa, was also added to support her mother and now serves as Coordinator for Praise and Adoration. The first name of the Christian fellowship was Noah’s Deliverance Team (NDT), which later changed to United Christian Revivals (UCR) to better reflect the mission of uplifting Jesus. While praying for direction, the Lord revealed He would send someone to build a house for the organization. That person was Mr. Isaac Kwadwo Adjei, who joined in 2005 from Cote D’Ivoire. While Noah, Philip, Isaac, and Mercy were praying and fasting for thirty days, the Holy Spirit revealed that the vision was truly not a church but a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO).

The first name for Christian fellowship was Noah’s Deliverance Team (NDT). The vision was to Uplift Jesus so the name was changed to United Christian Revivals (UCR). Whilst praying and waiting on the Lord for clear direction from Jesus, the Lord revealed that He is sending somebody who will build a house for the organization.  The Lord brought Mr. Isaac Kwadwo Adjei into the organization in 20O5 from Cote D’Ivoire. Whilst four of us (Noah, Philip, Isaac, and Mercy) were praying and fasting for thirty days, the Holy Spirit opened our understanding about Noah’s vision that it was truly not a church but Non Governmental Organization (NGO). We got the name for this organization as Jesus Ark. That there will be many ministries (holistic) in this Ark.

The name “Jesus Ark” was then received, with the understanding that many holistic ministries would come under this Ark. Followers of Jesus would pull resources together to assist themselves and others, just as the early apostles did. Isaac K. Adjei has since been prepared by the Lord to become the Director responsible for French-speaking countries. He coordinates projects and has played a key role in the construction of a laboratory and OPD block at Aboabo Presby Health Centre. Since October 2012, he has opened his house for all organizational activities. Today, the NGO’s main office and that of CHE-STTA are located in his home, where UCR Bible Studies and Prayer Meetings are also held. In 2015, the Lord added Mrs. Eunice A. Godsent, who had long desired to help the needy by building a clinic that offers free services. She is now the Director of Public Relations and Marketing, significantly supporting the organization, including securing 100 bags of cement from Diamond Cement Ghana. Truly, the Word of the Lord stands. In 1989, we knew nothing about NGOs, but today we understand that the Lord indeed spoke of establishing a Christian NGO through Noah G. Kumi. We hereby represent Jesus Ark Foundation. To God be the glory.

Truly, the Word of the Lord stands; in 1989 we did not know anything about NGO. Today, considering the fulfillment of the vision, we do understand the Lord spoke about establishment of Christian NGO to Noah G. Kumi. We hereby represent Jesus Ark Foundation (a Christian NGO). To God be the glory.
